Kangana Ranaut Stuns Everyone By Joining BJP

Kangana Ranaut, a prominent Bollywood actress known for her vocal support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP’s Hindu nationalist ideology, recently made headlines by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and announcing her candidacy for the upcoming elections in India. The BJP officially declared her as their Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, her place of birth, on March 24, 2024. Ranaut expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and emphasized her commitment to serving as a dedicated party worker and a responsible public representative.

Ranaut’s candidacy has sparked some internal debate within the BJP, with former party members and dissenters raising concerns and calling for a reassessment of the decision to nominate her. Despite the internal discussions, Ranaut has expressed her appreciation for the opportunity and affirmed her dedication to serving as a committed party member and a trustworthy public representative.

Kangana Ranaut Eats Beef?

Kangana Ranaut, the BJP Lok Sabha contestant from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, has refuted claims suggesting that she consumes beef. In response to these allegations, she took to Twitter to clarify, stating, “I don’t consume beef or any other form of red meat. It is regrettable that unfounded rumors are being circulated about me. I have long been an advocate for and promoter of a yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle. Such attempts to tarnish my image will not succeed. My supporters know me well; I am a proud Hindu, and no misinformation can sway them. Jai Shri Ram”. This statement follows accusations made by Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh regarding her dietary habits. Kangana Ranaut has been a vocal proponent of yogic and Ayurvedic practices for many years and has consistently identified as a devout Hindu. The allegations of her consuming beef lack merit and have been explicitly denied by Ranaut.

Well, this was certainly not the first time when some demeaning statements were given against Kangana. Congresss spokesperson Supriya Shrinate had also made some derogatory remarks against Kangana Ranaut, which went highly controversial. Supriya Shrinate’s Instagram post included a photo of Ranaut with the caption “Kya bhav chal raha hai Mandi main koi batayega,“ which translates to “Can someone tell me what the going rate is in Mandi,” in a disrespectful reference to the actress and her constituency. This post, along with derogatory comments made by H S Ahir, the State joint co-ordinator of Kisan Congress, led to widespread criticism and calls for accountability from the National Commission for Women and the Election Commission.

However, the Congress has stated that there is no place for such language in public discourse and that the matter should end with Shrinate clarifying the situation. Shrinate has clarified that someone else made the post on her social media account, which she deleted as soon as she became aware of it. The National Commission for Women has written to the Election Commission demanding strict action against Shrinate and H.S. Ahir for their derogatory comments against Ranaut.

Queen Kangana Ranaut's Journey from Childhood to Bollywood

Kangana Ranaut was born on March 23, 1987, in Bhambla, a small town in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. She is the daughter of Amardeep, a businessman, and Asha, a schoolteacher, and has two sisters, a younger brother, and a grandfather who was an IAS officer. Ranaut spent her childhood in Dehra Dun, studied in DAV’s High School, and later attended Science College in Simla. She was enrolled in the Elite School of Modeling and tried theater acting in Delhi, becoming a member of the Smita Theater. She is also a trained Kathak dancer.
Ranaut relocated to Bombay and started her acting career with the lead role in the film Gangster (2006). Since then, she has won four National Awards for her performances in Fashion (2008), Queen (2014), Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), and Manikarnika (2019). She is known for her roles in Queen (2013), Tanuja ‘Tanu’ Trivedi in Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), and Kusum ‘Datto’ Kumari in Tanu Weds Manu (2011).
