Akshay Kumar Tests Positive For Covid-19 For The Third Time:
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has once again tested positive for COVID-19, marking the third time he has contracted the virus. The news came as a disappointment, as the actor was set to attend the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, but had to refrain from it.
How Did He Catch The Virus?
According to reports, Akshay was actively promoting his latest film ‘Sarfira’ when he started feeling unwell and decided to get tested. The test results on Friday morning confirmed that he had indeed tested positive for COVID-19. As a responsible measure, the actor has immediately isolated himself to prevent the further spread of the virus. This is not the first time Akshay has battled COVID-19. He had previously tested positive for the virus in 2021 and 2022 as well. The actor has spoken about his struggles, saying he suffered from “heavy COVID” and is still working to regain his lost strength and stamina.
The FLiRT Variants:
The current COVID-19 wave in India is being driven by the FLiRT variants, a family of variants sharing similar mutations. Health experts have advised the public to maintain good hygiene practices, boost their immunity, and avoid crowded indoor settings, especially during the monsoon season, to stay safe.
Primary Symptoms of FLiRT Variants:
According to the latest information, the primary symptoms associated with the FLiRT COVID variants include a range of-
- Respiratory Effects
- Systematic Effects
On the respiratory front, common symptoms reported include sore throat, cough, nasal congestion or runny nose, and in some cases, shortness of breath. This respiratory distress appears to be more prevalent among unvaccinated individuals or those with waning immunity from prior infection or vaccination.
Beyond the respiratory system, the FLiRT variants have also been linked to systemic symptoms such as fatigue, muscle aches, and headaches. Additionally, some patients have experienced fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Loss of Taste or Smell:
Interestingly, the FLiRT variants seem to cause less frequent loss of taste or smell compared to earlier COVID-19 variants. This could be due to the evolving nature of the virus and its impact on different physiological processes.
Lastly, we extend our heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery to Akshay Kumar and a huge success to his movie Sarfira.
